This is my favorite cologne, and with my bottle quickly drying up, I decided to see what Amazon could offer. The value appeared to be off the charts, with a 3.4 oz (100 mL) bottle costing only $6 more than the 1.7 oz (50 mL) bottle. Even though it wasn't prime eligible, it did offer free shipping, so I took the plunge without reading the reviews. The day before it arrived, I checked the reviews almost as an afterthought - after all, I know what the stuff smells like. I was surprised and concerned to see a number of reviews that suggested that the product was an obvious counterfeit. My order was on its way, but I wouldn't have made my purchase if I had taken the time to read the reviews - why risk it?
My cologne arrived today, and to my surprise, it does appear to be legitimate. The cologne box was neatly wrapped in professional looking plastic wrap, and there were no obvious signs of the box being previously opened. The bottle itself looks effectively identical to the bottle I own, with the exception of a serial number sticker being in a slightly different place. The cologne smells like it should, and I perceive it to be of similar strength to my department store bought bottle. I sprayed the shirt I was wearing about 3 hours ago, and then took it off to change into my exercise clothes. I just double checked the shirt, and it smells good as I would expect.
All in all, my order (fulfilled by Loving Life Perfumes) appears to be legitimate. This cologne definitely deserves 5 stars for its great smell, and great value.
