I've tried all the various Aveeno baby products because it's one of the best brands in dealing with sensitive skin. This is pretty heavy so use is sparingly and be gentle when working it in or you'll upset the baby. Since it contains glycerin, petroleum jelly, and mineral oil, it takes some time to absorb and even then it'll still be visible on the skin because of it's thickness. The big thing it has that some of the other Aveeno's don't is the oatmeal to prevent itching- that's a big thing for dry skin.

We only use this in extreme circumstances because of how thick it is. For mild irritation or diaper rash, we use regular Aveeno baby lotion. It helps clear diaper rash with Desitin creamy ointment because it absorbs a lot faster (Desitin Creamy Diaper Rash Ointment - 4 oz. + FREE Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Fragrance Free - 8 oz.). I'm also less worried if I use the lotion around the face because the baby won't have the chance to rub it into his eyes. The cream is more for areas away from eyes/mouth!
